It comes in powder form that fully dissolves in water. Each tub comes with teat that can be fitted onto a standard feeding bottle. Lactofoal can be used for feeding and weaning orphan foals, to supplement feeding in the event of inadequate gestation in the mare, and for post weaning.

| Dosage and admin | Dilute 2 measures (50g) in 1 litre of warm water. Shake the mixture until smooth. Feed to foal at around 35 degrees C. Milk prepared in advance can be stored for 24 hours in the refrigerator. |
